The premier advanced resuscitation program designed for healthcare providers to improve outcomes for pediatric patients experiencing respiratory emergencies, shock and cardiopulmonary arrest.

Depending on your proficiency in PALS skills and knowledge, you have two unique course options to choose from – PALS Provider and PALS Provider Renewal.

Both courses are offered in two learning formats: the more traditional classroom-based teaching led by one of our instructors; or the blended learning format in which you delve into parts of the curriculum on your own time and at your own pace and then take the instructor-led, in-classroom component when you’re ready. You can choose the format that suits your learning style best.

PALS Provider

PALS Provider Renewal

For healthcare providers who are new to Heart & Stroke’s PALS course or who don’t use their life-saving skills often. Builds on skills and knowledge from Basic Life Support course.

2-YEAR CERTIFICATION

Blended Learning:
Mix of self-paced, online learning & 9 hrs in classroom

Traditional Learning:
14 hrs in classroom

Must successfully complete Precourse Self-Assessment for admission

For healthcare providers who are confident in their PALS skills and use them regularly, and who require limited practice to renew their credentials. Builds on skills and knowledge from PALS Provider/Provider Renewal courses and real-world experience.

2-YEAR CERTIFICATION

Blended Learning:
Mix of self-paced, online learning & 5 hrs in classroom

Traditional Learning:
6 hrs in classroom

Must successfully complete Precourse Self-Assessment for admission
